Julie Welch was adopted from China in 1998 at the age of one. She lived in Washington D.C. for seven years and then moved to Oklahoma to be near her extended family. She grew up in Bartlesville, OK where she was able to kickstart her way to a music career. She lived in Rochester, NY for two years while studying for a Master's Degree in music and now lives in Columbia, SC where she is ABD in her Doctorate of Musical Arts degree. She loves reading, journaling, British TV and recently completed a half-marathon. If she could be an ice cream flavor she would want to be vanilla with peanut butter chunks and a chocolate drizzle. The vanilla represents the classy side she wishes to portray, peanut butter symbolizes good because protein is good for you (she wants to be good for people), and the chocolate drizzle is there to add some sweetness to life.
